We are trying to help out the homeless people in wake county and we can do this if we help donate by giving food cans and etc. In Wake county there are lots of homeless people roaming the streets, especially in the city. In wake county alone there around 1,098 homeless people. This website shows lots of good information about how many people are homeless around North Carolina. 0.12% of wake county's population is homeless. http://demography.cpc.unc.edu/2013/10/24/homelessness-in-north-carolina Issue We should help these homeless people because they have a huge effect on our daily lives and economy. We often have to pay high taxes to pay these because when homeless people get here or sick and go to the hospital, and they have no money to pay for their bill. If we volunteer to help them then we will not have to use our tax money to pay for them. Over the course of a year more than 4,000 different individuals experience homelessness in Wake County. This issue affects most of wake county because thats a lot of people being homeless. This is a big issue because many people are struggling to find a home they can afford. Also if the prices of houses begins to rise then more and more people will not be able to afford a home and the homelessness rate will increase. Our goal is to help volunteer to help the homeless. A way we can do that is by help with shelters. This issue affects people can not afford the stuff we need to live on a regular basis. These people can not find homes to leave in and also they can not afford to leave in the apartments and pay the rent. We should find more affordable homes for people that can afford them. If we keep increasing the cost on homes then more and more people will start going homeless and that would be a big problem.
